1. Theme Installation

a. Through WordPress Dashboard

  1. Go to Appearance » Themes and click the Add New button.
  2. Click the Upload Theme button.
  3. Click Browse, locate the theme package on your computer, select biz-growth-hub-pro.zip and click Install Now.
  4. When the installation completes, click Activate to enable the theme on your site.
Note: Some servers restrict folder access and may prevent uploading the theme via the WordPress admin. In that case upload the theme folder via FTP.

b. Manual Installation using FTP

Unzip the downloaded file, locate biz-growth-hub-pro folder, and upload it to your WordPress installation under wp-content/themes. Go to Appearance » Themes, find Biz Growth Hub pro and click Activate.

2. Quick Setup & Demo Import

Biz Growth Hub Pro includes a built-in Quick Setup & Demo Import in the customizer. Use this to add demo content, pages, and menus—no external plugin required.

  1. Go to Appearance » Customize.
  2. Open the section 🚀 Quick Setup & Demo Import (usually at the top).
  3. Use the buttons in order:
    • Import Demo Content – Creates sample posts for Resources, Team, Testimonials, and other custom post types. Existing demo content is skipped.
    • Import Demo Pages – Imports demo pages (About Us, Contact, Blog templates, etc.).
    • Create Demo Menus – Creates Header and Footer menus and assigns them. Import demo pages first.
    • Import Featured Images (optional) – Uploads featured images for demo posts; useful if you imported content in Lite Mode.
  4. Use Delete Demo Content or Delete Demo Pages if you want to remove imported demo items later.

Alternative: Import demo content via XML (WordPress Importer)

If you prefer not to use the Customizer’s Demo Import, you can import the theme’s WordPress export file (XML) using the built-in importer:

  1. Go to Tools » Import in the WordPress admin.
  2. Under WordPress, click Run Importer. If you don’t see it, install the “WordPress Importer” plugin from wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-importer first.
  3. Click Choose File and select the theme’s XML file (bizgrowthhubpro.WordPress.xml from this documentation package), or download it here.
  4. Click Upload file and import.
  5. On the next screen, assign posts to an existing user or create a new author. Optionally check Download and import file attachments to import images. Click Submit.
  6. When the import finishes, set your Homepage and Posts page under Settings » Reading if needed (see Homepage Setup). You may also need to assign menus under Appearance » Menus.

WordPress Tools » Import – Run Importer

The theme also applies customizer defaults on first activation, so the homepage sections will show with default content even if you don’t run the demo import.

Theme Reset (Customizer): You can reset all theme customizations to defaults from Appearance » Customize » Theme Reset.

3. Homepage Setup

For the theme’s custom homepage (Hero Banner, Resources, Team, and other sections) to display, you must select Your latest posts, not “A static page.”

How to Add New Content with Featured Images

To add new items to sections that use custom post types (Resources, Team, Testimonials, Loan, Operations, Projects, Industries) or Posts (for the Blog section), follow these steps:

  1. Go to the relevant area in WordPress admin (e.g., Resources » Add New, Team » Add New, Posts » Add New for blog, etc.).
  2. Enter a title and content in the editor.
  3. For post types that use a featured image: In the Featured Image box (usually in the right sidebar), click Set featured image. Use the exact sizes from the theme (as shown in the admin and used on the frontend):
    • Resources: 400×250px (theme size: resourcethumb400and250)
    • Team: 426×487px (theme size: fteam426and487)
    • Testimonials: 426×487px (theme recommended; displayed as avatar)
    • Loan: 600×400px (theme recommended)
    • Operations/Services: 800×600px (theme recommended)
    • Projects: 800×600px (theme recommended)
    • Industries: 800×600px (theme recommended)
    • Blog (Posts): 800×450px or match WordPress Medium size (Settings » Media) – section uses medium in theme
  4. Click Set featured image to confirm (where applicable).
  5. Fill in any custom fields or meta boxes specific to that post type (e.g., position for Team, company for Testimonials). Pricing plans do not use a featured image; set title, content, and customizer options only.
  6. Click Publish or Update.

Note: Only the sections listed above use a featured image. Pricing is configured via the customizer/backend fields only. Images will be automatically cropped/resized by WordPress. For best results, upload at least the recommended size or larger, keeping the aspect ratio.
